…. they were unschooled, ordinary men …. they had been with Jesus …. the crippled man healed standing with them – Acts 4:13,14

A new year, a new day, prayer of healing & hope

Dearest friends,

We live in the midst of uncertainties, .. cracks, .. division,
Great change

And all the more,

We need Jesus
even more

only He
can heal our differences,
heal our hearts,
heal our relationships,
heal our wounds
heal our past

heal the lies
heal the disappointments
heal the rejections

Only Jesus can heal our world

O Lord,

Our healer
Our anchor in the storm,
Our shield, Our provider,
Our solid rock

Only You,
can breathe new life
upon the dry bones,

to arise again
to soar again
to faith, … to believe again
to sing again

to try again, … and again,

to love again,
to forgive again,
to reach out again
to hug again

O Lord,  … breath upon us,
once again,

a fresh wind to win,
a fresh strength to stand,
a fresh joy to overcome,

fresh fruit to warm another’s heart,
fresh oil to refresh a friend,.
fresh Word to revive the weary,

fresh Word to light our steps
with wisdom, insight & discernment,

an abiding peace
that everything will be alright
in the Father’s loving wise hands,

fresh smiles for the extra mile 🙂 🙂

Be joyful in hope,    patient in affliction,     faithful in prayer.
Romans 12:12 (NIV)

Love bears all things    [regardless of what comes],
believes all things      [looking for the best in each one],
hopes all things         [remaining steadfast during difficult times],
endures all things     [without weakening].

Love never fails     [it never fades nor ends].

Persevering in joyful hope, faithful in prayer,

1 Kings 18:1, 41-45 (NLT)
Later on, in the third year of the drought,
the Lord said to Elijah, “Go and present yourself to King Ahab.
Tell him that I will soon send rain!”

41 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go get something to eat and drink,
for I hear a mighty rainstorm coming!

42 So Ahab went to eat and drink.
But Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel
and bowed low to the ground
and prayed with his face between his knees.

43 Then he said to his servant, “Go and look out toward the sea.

The servant went and looked, then returned to Elijah
and said, “I didn’t see anything.”

Seven times
Elijah told him to go and look.

44 Finally the seventh time, his servant told him,
“I saw a little cloud
about the size of a man’s hand
rising from the sea.”

Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him, ‘Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!’”

45 And soon the sky was black with clouds.
A heavy wind brought a terrific rainstorm

Hope arises by seeking God’s word — I will soon send rain!

received by a listening ear of faith — I hear a mighty rainstorm coming!
nurtured by a persevering prayerful heart — Elijah prayed.  Seven times Elijah told him to go and look.

seven times … not in an instant,
Elijah prayed in faithful persistence,
… go and look again,
and … again,

till he saw a little cloud … about the size of a man’s hand,
… a tiny glimmer of hope …
turn into
a black sky … a heavy wind … a terrific rainstorm!

Against doubt,
Elijah persevered
he prayed again
Till in a distance a cloud
of rain

your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven
